Σύντομο Βιογραφικό ΣημείωμαΟ Δρ. Νικόλαος Κολοκοτρώνης είναι τακτικός Καθηγητής, με γνωστικό αντικείμενο Κρυπτογραφία, Κρυπτανάλυση κι Εφαρμογές, και Διευθυντής του Εργαστηρίου Κρυπτογραφίας και Ασφάλειας στο Τμήμα Πληροφορικής και Τηλεπικοινωνιών του Πανεπιστημίου Πελοποννήσου. Έλαβε το πτυχίο Μαθηματικών το 1995 από το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης, κι εν συνεχεία έλαβε το μεταπτυχιακό δίπλωμα (άριστα) στον τομέα των Αλγορίθμων Υψηλής Απόδοσης το 1998, και το διδακτορικό (άριστα) στην Κρυπτογραφία το 2003, από το Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών.Από το 2004 κατείχε πλήθος θέσεων επισκέπτη καθηγητή στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς, Πανεπιστήμιο Πελοποννήσου, Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, και στο Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου. Κατά την περίοδο 2002–04, ήταν στην European Dynamics S.A. ως σύμβουλος ασφαλείας. Υπήρξε μέλος ομάδων εργασίας επαγγελματικής εκπαίδευσης μεγάλων οργανισμών, όπως η Εθνική Επιτροπή Τηλεπικοινωνιών και Ταχυδρομείων, σε θέματα κυβερνοασφάλειας. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε περισσότερα από 25 χρηματοδοτούμενα από την Ευρωπαϊκή Κοινότητα έργα έρευνας και καινοτομίας, όπως ELECTRON, TERMINET, FORESIGHT (τεχνικός συντονιστής, υπεύθυνος ΠΕ), CYBER-TRUST (τεχνικός συντονιστής, υπεύθυνος ΠΕ), SECURE-JUSTICE (συντονιστής), ICTE-PAN, HANDICAMS (υπεύθυνος WP), και DIASTASIS (συντονιστής), καθώς και εθνικά έργα, όπως SWINCOM (υπεύθυνος ΠΕ), ART-IN-SPACE και BILLING MALL.Έχει δημοσιεύσει περισσότερες από 120 εργασίες σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά, συνέδρια και βιβλία. Είναι συντάκτης και ο κύριος συγγραφέας των ακόλουθων βιβλίων από τη CRC Press “Internet of things, threats, landscape, and countermeasures” και “Cyber-security threats, actors, and dynamic mitigation” που δημοσιεύτηκαν το 2021. Είναι επίσης συντάκτης στη θεματική περιοχή “Engineering – Cyber Security, Digital Forensics and Resilience” του περιοδικού Applied Sciences της Springer (από το 2019) και στην Επιτροπή Αξιολογητών του περιοδικού Cryptography της MDPI (από το 2020), ενώ υπήρξε Associate Editor του EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking (2009–17) και τακτικός κριτής για μια σειρά από έγκριτα περιοδικά, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των IEEE TIFS, IEEE TIT, Springer’s DCC, Elsevier’s COSE, κ.λπ.
