The University of Peloponnese has an Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) certification. In addition, the Programme of Undergraduate Studies of the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications complies with the quality standards of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE) and the quality assurance principles of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The decision of the Council of the HAHE is available here and the final report of the accreditation of the programme of study is available here. The validity period of the accreditation of the programme of study is five (5) years, from 18 Jan 2019 to 17 Jan 2024.

The Department of Informatics and Telecommunications is committed to providing high quality studies to its students, in line with the academic character and orientation of the programme of study as well as the mission and strategic planning of the University of Peloponnese.

  • The Department's commitment to developing a culture of quality, both among members of the academic community as well as in its relations with the stakeholders, aiming at its continuous improvement.

To implement this policy, the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications:

  • provides a state-of-the-art and flexible study programme that aims to connect the Department with the society and the labour market and increase the employment and social contribution of its graduates.
  • identifies the learning outcomes of the study programme in accordance with the National and European Qualifications Framework.
  • adopts a reward policy for the excellence of its students.
  • supports the teaching and research activity of its faculty members and promotes the connection between teaching and research.
  • follows internal procedures for the continuous improvement of its teaching and research work and services. 
  • ocllaborates with the Quality Assurance Unit of the University of Peloponnese (MODIP) for the annual review and internal inspection of the study programme.
