Short Bio:

George-Othon Glentis received the B.Sc. degree in Physics in 1987 and the Ph.D degree in Informatics in 1991, both from the University of Athens. From 1988-1991, he held a four years research fellowship from the Institute of Informatics of the National Center for Physical Science, DEMOCRITOS. From 1993-1995, he was with the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Twente, The Netherlands, and with the Faculte des Sciences Appliquees, Universi{e Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, as a EU HCM research fellow. From 1996-1997 he was with the Department of Informatics, University of Athens, as a EU TMR research fellow. From 1998- 2005 he was an associate professor at the Department of Electronics, Technological Education Institute of Crete, Chania, Greece. During the summer 2011 he has been with the Spectral Analysis Laboratory, University of Florida, as a visiting Associate Professor. He is currently an associate professor at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, University of Peloponnese, Tripolis, Greece. His research interests include signal and image processing, and telecommunication applications. He has published over 80 papers in major journals and conferences.
